POSTER AWARD

The top three posters will be selected by the education committee for oral presentation in the general scientific session on Sunday.

ABSTRACT TOPICS

All abstracts submitted must address one of the conference topics for inclusion in the program. When submitting an abstract, please select the topic that your abstract applies to from the list below.

• Cutaneous Malignancy • Pediatric Dermatology / Genodermatoses
• Dermatopharmacology • Procedural Dermatology
• Infectious Disease • Psoriasis
• Medical Dermatology • Rheumatology / Dermatology
• Medical Education and Technology • Survey & Review Studies
• Medication-related side effects and successful treatment • Wound Healing
• Non-medical topics  


ABSTRACT ADJUDICATION AND TIMELINE

Notice of adjudication will be provided by Monday, February 1, 2021. Initial correspondence will be addressed to the submitting author. After acceptance, all correspondence will be directed to the designated author only, unless requested otherwise.  The presenting author is required to submit a conflict of interest disclosure within two weeks of acceptance.

Oral presentations will take place during the Top 3 Posters session on Sunday, April 11th.  E-Poster presentations (PDF format) will be displayed via computer terminals during the conference in a common area and/or on the virtual platform to enable delegates to view the information at their leisure.  Full presentation guidelines (oral and e-posters) will be sent  February 26, 2021.

A condition of acceptance is that you must register for the conference.  Presenters not registered by Friday, February 26, 2021 will forfeit both their invitation to present and abstract inclusion in the mobile app.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION PROCESS

Abstracts will only be accepted via the online submission system at https://www.altanticdermabstracts.com/.  Abstracts sent via email or mail will not be accepted.

An acknowledgement of receipt of your submission(s) will be sent automatically to the submitting author by email upon completion of the online submission. Abstracts must be prepared in English.

Submitting authors and/or presenters may modify their submission(s) until the closing date of January 4, 2021 at 9:00am PST.

Abstracts selected for poster or oral presentations will be reproduced exactly as submitted and substitutions will not be permitted.  Be sure to proofread your abstract very carefully before submitting.

ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

  • All abstracts must be submitted online to https://www.altanticdermabstracts.com/
  • Prepare your abstract in MS Word
  • Do not use presentation software such as PowerPoint or Keynote
  • Limit your abstracts to no more than 300 words
  • Do not include graphics or photographs in your abstract
  • Refer to generic names rather than brand names
  • Each abstract should have three paragraphs:
    1. Introduction
    2. Methods, Results
    3. Conclusions
  • Include learning objectives and a takeaway message.

PUBLICATION AGREEMENT

Authors of accepted abstracts grant the Montréal Dermatological Society, Atlantic Dermatologic Conference, its agents and representatives the right to use their names and abstracts in promotional and other materials published in relation to the annual conference.

CONSENT

Authors should have appropriate consents in place for any clinical photos or videos used in the presentations.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURE

The presenting authors of accepted abstracts is required to submit a conflict of interest disclosure within two weeks of acceptance.

Disclosures should identify all commercial relationships, financial or otherwise, in the last two years regardless of whether or not they relate to the topic presented. These disclosures must be meaningful by indicating the type(s) of relationship that has (have) taken place. This may include, but not limited to, the following:

• Advisory Board • Grants
• Board of Directors • Honoraria
• Clinical Trials Investigator • Patent Inventor / Holder
• Consultant • Shareholder
• Employee • Speaker Bureau
• Founder • Website / Publication
• Gifts or In-kind Compensation  

OFF-LABEL DISCLOSURE

A disclosure statement must also be provided if you intend to make a therapeutic recommendation that has not received regulatory approval from Health Canada.
